1 review for Six Foot Track Guided Hike, Blue Mountains, Fully Supported, 4 Days

  1. Colin and Robyn Christie (verified owner)

We had a wonderful time on the Six Foot Track hike.

Our guide Daniel gave us both track awareness information as well as the historical background of the track and that of the indigenous people that cared for the land in the area. As we moved along the track we were able to take well-timed breaks to catch up on points of interest or just to rest before heading off again.
At the end of day one, we stayed at the Eco Lodge (tent option which was set up for us).

Some creek crossings were also undertaken where thongs or crocs are required (this wasn’t mentioned in the briefing notes) thanks to our guide Daniel and others in our group we were able to get across safely. We were bused to Jenolan Caves House for our night’s accommodation. Whilst the hotel wasn’t lacking in the charm the COVID 19 procedures took some getting used to with hotel staff limited and meal delays due to scheduled meal times and demand on staff. Overall the efficiency and effectiveness of these hotel procedures could have better given the amount of time COVID 19 policy has been in place. This was a little disappointing as it impacted on our hotel experience. Overall the Six Foot Track hike was a wonderful experience along with the guide Daniel and his support person (off track) Andy could not have been better.
