The Freycinet walk along the Peninsula Circuit of the National Park is ranked as one of Tasmania's 5 Great Bushwalks. Our 3 day Freycinet Walk with Wineglass Bay Tour includes all of Freycinet's finest features from colourful woodlands of blue gums and peppermints, heathlands, breathtaking granite peaks, abundant birdlife, stunning beaches and the most incredible scenery you can imagine.
Our 3 day Freycinet Guided Walk & Wineglass Bay tour is a unique walking and camping experience. You will be immersed into the National Park for a complete walking holiday. You won't be transported to a different part of the island each day by boat you will take a journey through the National Park discovering its scenic treasures .
For those that love hiking but don't like the hard slog of carrying a heavy pack, you'll be delighted to find your overnight bags will be transported to your campsite so you can concentrate on enjoying the views.
Enjoy evenings camping under the stars at our beachside location. Arrive to find your campsite set up, your overnight bags in your tent and a glass of wine with a cheese platter waiting for you to enjoy while you watch the sunset. Relax and put your feet up as your crew create a fabulous dinner to enjoy.

Things to know
How fit do I need to be to do this walk?
This walk is suitable for those who are looking for a walking / hiking holiday experience. The walk is varied and will cover a number of terrains including some beach walking and walking through some steep sections on the walk towards Mt Graham.
- Day 1 walk: Approximately (4.5 hours walking). Walking Level: Medium.
- Day 2 walk: 16kms (8 hours walking). Walking level: Hard.
Note: Please let us know if you do not wish to do today’s walk over Mount Graham and we can offer an easier walk along the Coast which will be (12kms / 5 hours walking)
- Day 3 walk: approximately 11 kms (5 hours walking)
Is there a portered walk option?
All our guests will have their overnight bags transported to the campsite leaving you free to relax and enjoy the walk instead of struggling with a large backpack.
So what will I need to carry?
A small day pack with water, camera and any small personal items you want access to during the day. You won't even need to carry your lunch as your guide will carry the groups lunch.
What gear is provided?
Tents, mattresses, all your eating utensils, the campsite's cooking equipment.
What do I need to bring?
You'll need to bring your clothes, a torch/flashlight and your personal items packed in a medium sized overnight bag. You will be emailed a clothing and gear checklist in your pre-departure information closer to your tour date by the operator.
Do you cater for different dietary requirements?
Yes we can provide for any special dietary requirements and amend all of our menus to suit your needs. When booking please specify your special dietary requirements giving us as much information as you can including what sort of food you like.
When is the best time of the year to do this walk?
We believe the premier time to do this walk is between September and April when the weather is ideal for hiking. We therefore only run this guided walk during this period.
How many people per tent?
Each tent is a 4 man tent which holds a maximum of 2 people.
Are there toilets and showers?
This is an extremely remote area and facilities are very limited. We provide a shower tent with a powered bush shower and a toilet tent with a campervan style portable toilet unit. (if a pit toilet is available near the campsite this will be used instead).
What time does this adventure start and finish?
We meet in Launceston CBD at 8.30am for an 8.45am departure from the Grand Chancellor Hotel Launceston on day 1. On the final day you will return to the Grand Chancellor Hotel Launceston at approximately 6pm.
How many people are in each walking group?
We run our tours with a maximum of 10 walkers.
