Brisbane Rock Climbing Course: Come and join the Brisbane rock climbing scene with our 4 week rock climbing course. This course takes place at a variety of locations in and around Brisbane. The Brisbane Rock Climbing Course has been designed to give you a grounding in basic climbing techniques while providing a safe and fun environment in which to learn.
The climbing guides are professional and highly qualified in their field and possess all accredited qualifications. You will learn rock climbing in a provide a very positive and encouraging atmosphere and most of all, you will have fun.

Brisbane Rock Climbing Course Outline
Week 1:
- Tuesday or Wednesday (6–9pm): Safety and belay induction followed by climbing at Kangaroo Point Cliffs
Week 2:
- Tuesday or Wednesday (6–9pm): Climbing and introduction to climbing technique at Kangaroo Point cliffs
- Friday (6–9pm): Climbing technique session at Brisbane's premier indoor rock-climbing centre, Urban Climb, West End
Week 3:
- Tuesday or Wednesday (6–9pm): Climbing and introduction to climbing technique at Kangaroo Point cliffs
- Saturday (8am–12pm): Climbing session at Mt Ngungun in the Glasshouse Mountains
Week 4:
- Tuesday or Wednesday (6–9pm): Climbing or Abseiling and BBQ break-up at Kangaroo Point cliffs
Course Locations:
- Kangaroo Point Cliffs in Brisbane. The cliffs are around 20 metres high and have a range of climbs, to suit all levels of ability.
- Urban Climb is an indoor climbing centre located in the heart of West End.
- Mt Ngungun, located in the Glasshouse Mountains, 60 minutes north of Brisbane. The cliffs are around 18m high and have a range of climbs.
Whats included?
- Use of all specialised gear: harness, helmet, climbing shoes, and all other safety equipment.
- Instruction by qualified guides
- Four 3 hour climbing sessions at Kangaroo Point
- One 3 hour climbing session at Brisbane’s premier indoor climbing gym
- ½ day climbing session in the Glasshouse Mountains
General Guidelines:
- All participants must be at least 15 years old
- Waivers must be completed by all participants.
- Under 18 years of old, waiver must be signed by a parent or legal guardian.
- In the event of wet weather, your session will be rescheduled.
- Not recommended during pregnancy
Note
- This course does not teach you how to set up your own ropes to climb or abseil independently.
