Warbird Scenic Flight – 20 mins

The Beach and City Bombing Run is an exciting low level sightseeing flight out over the estuaries and the white sandy beaches of North Adelaide. Race down to Henley Jetty from Parafield at 300kph and return via Outer Harbour and St. Kilda while watching for dolphins and sharks. This is a great way to experience Adealide`s amazing scenery from a classic military aircraft.

You will be flying in the CJ-6A, made by the NANCHANG Aircraft Company in China. The CJ-6A has a maximum speed of over 300 kph, and is powered by a 10.2 litre, 9 cylinder, supercharged radial engine.

On arrival you will meet your pilot and given a brief on your flight. The brief will cover the aircraft and the details of your planned flght. We will then suit you up in you flight gear and you will have your photograph taken. We’ll turn this into a complimentary certificate that you’ll be able to how your friends for months afterwards.

Once seated in the aircraft you will be given a Safety Brief prior to launching on the experience of a lifetime! All of our pilots are mature Commercial Pilots with Aerobatic and Formation flying qualifications.

LOCATION:

Your flight takes place from Parafield Airport, 20 minutes drive north from the Adelaide CBD.

SESSION LENGTH:

This experience operates on Saturday and Sunday throughout the year, subject to availability and lasts approximately an 1hr. This includes a briefing, taxi time on the ground, 20 mins in the air, and a de-briefing at the end.

RESTRICTIONS:

The minimum age is 12 years to participate, an you must be able to climb into the plane with minimal assistance.

Passengers weighing over 110kg need to contact us prior to booking The maximum height is 190cm.

WHAT TO BRING & WEAR:

• Comfortable clothing suited to the weather on the day is recommended
• Wear sturdy enclosed footwear
• A peaked cap, sunscreen and sunglasses can help keep the sun off on warm days
• Camera for ground shots
  

SPECTATORS:

Spectators are welcome. Entry to the Classic Jets Fighter Museum for the family is included in the cost of the flight. Ice creams and drinks are available at the museum.

WEATHER:

This flight is weather dependant. Very gusty winds, low cloud or poor visibility can result in cancellation. If your flight has to be cancelled you will be contacted and it will be re-scheduled.

IMPORTANT:

CASA requires all passengers in warbirds to sign a liability waiver before every flight. All of our pilots are mature Commercial Pilots with Aerobatic and Formation flying qualifications.
