Join us for a relaxing Melbourne caneoing trip as you paddle amongst the gum trees that line the quiet waters of the Yarra River. What better way to wind down from a hard day's work than to canoe on the quiet waters of the Yarra river with twilight a great time to spot birds, koalas, fruit bats and other sorts of wildlife.
ITINERARY:
We meet near Kanes Bridge in Yarra Bend Park at 6:00pm or earlier if required from April onwards when Daylight Savings has ended! After a short car shuttle and safety briefing and introduction to canoeing we will set off for a leisurely paddle on the tranquil Yarra River. We will spend approximately 1.5 hours on the water until dusk and then we will tuck into our chicken and drinks until it's time to go home!

Availability: Minimum group size is for 3 participants on general public trips. We can cater for a maximum of 18 people per trip with an instructor to boat ratio of 1:6 although this is the maximum.

RESTRICTIONS
This activity is suitable for anyone over the age of 6, with children under the age of 16 being accompanied by a parent or guardian. Average fitness recommended and an ability to swim handy but not essential.
SESSION LENGTH
This twilight canoeing tour is approximately 3 hours in duration. We will meet you at 2.30pm (winter time) or 5.30–6pm (summer time). This time may vary due to the season. Please confirm the time prior to the trip.
WHAT TO BRING & WEAR?
Bathers, Shorts, Long sleeve top
Wetsuit (optional if you have one) or thermal underwear
towel
Spray jacket
Woollen socks (optional)
Old pair of runners or river sandals (you must have footwear on the river).
A change of dry clothes & shoes!
FITNESS LEVELS
Average fitness level is required and an ability to swim is recommended.
NON-PADDLERS
Non-paddlers are welcome to join us for dinner (charcoal chicken and salad with tea and coffee or soft drinks) on the banks of the river. This is at an additional cost ($20) payable directly to the supplier on the day.
WEATHER
In the event of inclement weather this activity will be postponed for a later date.
