Intermediate Rock Climbing Course (2 Days)

This course further expands your technical skills and increases the experience gained on our basic course. In two days we prepare you to climb at a higher standard on more technical multi-pitch climbs.

Participants have the opportunity to learn different and more advanced free climbing techniques including: crack climbing, lay-backing and slab climbing; seconding technique on multi-pitch ascents; protection systems; advanced rope management and use; route selection and hazard assessment.

ROCK I or similar experience is a prerequisite for this course. Watch your grades climb!

Other Information

This activity is physically low-impact, if you can walk up a flight of stairs you can participate.

Your operator will provide all transport from Katoomba to the site, qualified instructors, delicious food, all instruction, use of all equipment including ropes, helmets, harnesses, hardware, climbing shoes etc., log books, course notes and course certificates.

Group sizes are approximately one instructor for every five or six participants.

Please bring or wear the following clothing; shorts, long pants, warm jacket or jumper, T-shirt, sun hat, rain jacket. Footwear such as running shoes, or lightweight hiking boots are ideal. Also bring a daypack, water bottle, sun-cream, camera (optional).
