Visit the Goulburn-Murray Waters
This popular adventure region brings together water sports of all varieties. On the Murray River, the Goulburn and Broken Rivers there is water-skiing, fishing, river and house boats as well as swimming and canoeing; and you havent even set foot on dry land yet!
The township of Echuca provides a unique insight into the regions rich riverboat history. Home to the largest paddle steamer fleet in Australia, Echuca also has an authentic working port where you can see riverboats being restored, or take a paddle steamer cruise to the nearby wetlands and red gum forests in the renowned Barmah State Park.
You can discover other great adventure sports within this magnificent region, such as trekking the Cathedral Rangers State Park, or horse riding and 4WDriving through Strathbogie Ranges. Try your hand at the Murray Marathon, a gruelling five day canoe race.
If Hot-Air ballooning or gliding over this spectacular Goulburn/Murray waters is not for you, why not try bush walking or cycling through the Barmah State Park where you will find Koalas, Kangaroos and 200 species of birds.

With Lake Eildon and Mt Buller seen from Blowhard Summit, the walk will be worth every step. Wedge tailed eagles soar above whilst you may spot a grey Kangaroo or a black-tailed wallaby. Visit Devils Cove on this pleasant track and circle the lakes edge to Cook Point.
Barmah Lakes Loop Track
Stroll along the shores of Barmah Lake and the Murray River to discover the beauty of some of the Worlds largest Redgum Forests.
Along the trail see where the local aboriginal tribe Yorta Yorta people dug their middens. This trial is excellent for walking or cycling.
