Hidden in the Southern Highlands of NSW these spectacular limestone caves offer you an experience of timeless beauty and splendour. Your friendly and experienced guide will share with you the special features of each of the four pristine, highly decorated and very accessible caves, or you may choose to guide yourself through the superb Fig Tree Cave. The three hour Heritage tour provides a nostalgic link with the past. For the more adventurous, Wombeyan offers a range of adventure caving for adults and children (equipment supplied) where you crawl, squeeze and climb your way through the wild and exciting underworld of Wombeyan.
The 417 hectare Wombeyan Caves Reserve has a diverse range of flora and fauna with walking trails leading you to spectacular limestone canyons, lookouts and waterfalls.
To fully enjoy this superb natural resource, you might like to stay in a cosy cottage or cabin, bring your van, or pitch a tent in the well appointed camping ground. For schools and groups there is dormitory style accommodation available.
The Wombeyan Reserve is well suited for photography both above and below ground. For the best results in the caves, we recommend the use of a flash or high speed film. Please note however, that camera tripods are not allowed on cave tours.
Wombeyan is only one hour from Goulburn via historic Taralga or one and a quarter hours from Mittagong on Tourist Drive 13.

Discovery Pass – Visit any of the followigng four caves: Wollondilly Cave, Junction Cave, Mulwaree Cave, Kooringa Cave, plus the magnificent self guided Figtree Cave.
Explorer Pass – Select two from the Wollondilly, Junction, Mulwaree or Kooringa caves and also viist the self-guided Figtree Cave.
Tours can be taken in one day, or over two days. Take the next available tours or choose your own combination. The staff at Wombeyan can also help you with your selection.
Take your time, relax and explore the magic that is Wombeyan's underworld. Between tours, enjoy the free above ground activities or a leisurely picnic lunch on any of the well grassed flats.
