Iconic “Six Foot Track” 3 Day Walk

We'll overnight in an Eco-Lodge next to the picturesque Cox's River on night one and camp under the stars on night two where we'll enjoy a glass of wine or beer, a delicious dinner, and campsite sing-along. Time is available at the end of the walk to explore the magnificent Jenolan Caves before we catch the bus back to start of the walk. Limited places available – don't miss out!

This package includes snack packs, breakfasts, smorgasbord lunches and delicious gourmet dinners such as fresh snapper, Thai Chicken curries, french crepes – plus much more, as well as refreshments and alcohol (beer and wine). All group camping and cooking equipment is transported daily by our support vehicle. On night one you'll stay in an architect designed Eco-Lodge at Coxs River with comfy beds and a hot bush shower and on night two camp under the stars in with comfortable tents and air mattresses supplied for those that choose the deluxe package.

The Walk:

Day 1: 11kms / 5 hours We start our walk near the Explorer Tree and follow the main track down to the clifftop lookout above the gorge of Nellies Glen from here you look down the Megalong Creek Valley in the direction you will be walking. We cross the Bowtells Swing Suspension bridge to our campsite on the beautiful Coxs River - bring your swimmers as this is a great place to take a dip and revitalise. Relax when you arrive yor campsite will be set up and ready for you - with your overnight bag transported from the start of the walk to the camp.

Day 2: 14kms / 6 hours A challenging morning awaits with 3kms of steep track rising over 400 metres climbing the slope from little river to the ridge of Black Range. For those that want to skip most of the uphill climb - you can opt to stay behind to help pack up the campsite and be rewarded with a lift up most of the hill. The walk follows the fire trail along Black Range passing through wooded country. We overnight at Black range campsite.

Day 3: 7kms / 2.5 hours We walk along the steep fire trail down Binoomera Ridge passing Carlotta Arch before arriving at Jenolan Caves. Free time is available to explore these amazing caves (bring additional money if you wish to view the caves entrance fees range from $25 to $38 depending on which caves you visit). From here we catch the 3pm bus for our return to the start of the walk. (Please allow $35 extra for your return bus trip back to the start of the walk).

All-inclusive package includes a luxury stand up touring tent erected for you, with off the ground beds including a deluxe mattress, your overnight bags carried for you,
return transfer from Jenolan Caves to Nellies Glen starting point day tour.

Fitness Level:

The Six Foot Track walk is graded as medium and suitable for those with an average level of fitness. It is 44kms, about 19 hours walking over 3 days. For those that want to skip the 3km uphill climb on day 2, you can opt to stay behind to help pack up and get a lift up the hill with the support crew.

This guided walk takes place over 3 days/ 2 nights. Day 1: 11kms / 5 hours; Day 2: 14kms / 6 hours; Day 3: 7kms / 2.5 hours.

A minimum of 4 people is needed for tour to proceed. Maximum of 15 people.

Sydney Hotel Pick-Up

Rather than hassle with unfamiliar public transport, why not let the operator pick you up from your hotel and drop you off at the end of the day. Transfer are available for just $40 extra per person from any hotel in the Sydney CBD or Manly area.
