The ARea51 Series races are a great way for Queenslanders to be involved in the growing sport of adventure racing. These events are the perfect introduction for first time competitors as well as an exciting race for veterans. The sausage sizzle at the end is also great time to meet and socialise with fellow racers!
Each race will have a unique style and format. Teams will receive their maps and the course description at registration, just over an hour before the start. While some basic navigation skills will be required, it should be relatively straight forward. Events will mix up urban and bush settings. Try one race or try them all, go on, you know you want to!

Round 2 - Summer Storm - 8 Mar 08
Round 3 - The Step Up - 13 Apr 08
Round 4 - Rush Hour - 11 May 08
Round 5 - Hells Bells - 19-20 Jul 08
Who Can Enter
Teams of three adventurers are required for all Area51 Series races. Teams may enter in any of the following three categories, Premier Mixed, All Female or All Male. Do one race or do them all, it’s up to you!
The ARQ series are is a great way for those new to adventure racing to get their toes wet. Grab a couple of friends and give it a go, the hardest thing is deciding to do a race. After that the fun begins!
Competitors must be over 18 years of age. In some cases permission is given for younger competitors where parental consent is given (though not for rounds 1 or 5). For more information go to http://www.gar.com.au/arq/
