11 Years on and the Polaris Challenge is to end
September 30th, 2007After 11 years, 11 Polaris Challenges, 8 Urban Polaris and 4 Paddle Polaris, the curtain will come down on the 2007 Urban Polaris in Canberra on 2 December, Huw Kingston of Wild Horizons announced recently. “I love these events but sometimes loves and passions are better left behind when still on a high.” “Life is about passions and not doing things mechanically so it’s time to move on to new challenges; some known, some unknown. We hope to see as many Polaris regulars and newbies as possible at the Urban in December. It should be fun!” Hew Kingston said.
But watch this space……..The Polaris Challenge has been a fixture on the 2nd weekend in March for 11 years now. For all those wondering what to do with your weekend, have no fear. Enjoy the rest in 2008 but get ready for an exciting new event in the pipeline which will use that weekend from 2009 onwards.
