Aussie teenager climber ends Everest quest

News Flash: Australian teenager Christopher Harris and his team has had to turn back from their goal of reaching the summit of Mt Everest due to a respiratory problem that Christopher has suffered. The team is now on their way back down to base camp. On medical advice, they will not be trying for another summit attempt.

Christopher had been attempting to climb to the summit of Mt Everest during May. Chris is being accompanied by his father, Richard Harris (himself an experienced mountaineer), Lincoln Hall OAM (Everest veteran) and Michael Dillon AM.

Christopher’s attempt on Everest has capped off a remarkable climbing career that has seen him tackle some of the world’s highest and most challenging peaks.
