Experience the thrills and speed of an aerobatic air race aircraft! The Extra 300L is a power-packed, aerobatic aircraft that has taken the world stage by storm. Now it's your turn to ride in the Extra 300 for a 30 minute aerobatic flight of a lifetime – from mild to wild, the choice is yours!
On the day of your flight, you'll arrive at the airfield
in eager anticipation of your aerobatic flight in one of the most nimble
of aircraft. Your flight will start with a safety briefing by your
pilot which will cover all aspects of the flight. You will be given a
detailed explanation of the flight profile and the aerobatic figures to
be flown. This is also the perfect time to make any special requests
which you would like to be included in the flight.
Following the safety briefing, you'll be introduced to the Extra 300L. The aircraft was designed and manufactured in Germany using the most advanced aerospace materials which results in its incredible performance.
The Extra has a top speed of 410km/hr, a climb rate of
3,200 feet per minute and a staggering roll rate of 360 degrees per
second. It is even rated to an incredible positive 8 G's and negative
8G's with pilot and passenger.
Your pilot will start off with a gentle scenic flight
around the region until they reach the designated aerobatic airspace.
Once at the airspace, it's time for your pilot to introduce you into the
world of aerobatics – gently at first, but increasing in speed and
complexity while constantly monitoring your comfort level. Mild or wild,
the choice is yours.
The aircraft is equipped with headsets and an intercom
system so that you can constantly remain in contact with your pilot. In
addition a music system and in flight video recorder is available to
capture your memorable flight on DVD. This is available for purchase at
the conclusion of your flight for an additional cost.
PLEASE NOTE: An aerobatic flight may not be suitable
for you if you have a pre-existing medical condition. If in doubt,
please consult your GP.
RESTRICTIONS:
Passengers must be 15 years and over to participate. We have a maximum weight
restriction of 125 kg and you cannot be taller than 6ft,4in. NOTE: Aerobatic
flights may not be suitable for those with a known medical condition. If in
doubt please consult your GP.
TIME:
Allow approximately 60 minutes for the total experience which includes 15 minutes
of preparation time, 30 flight time and then around 15 minutes at the end of flight for photos etc. Flights are available from 7am - 5pm, everyday (we don't fly Christmas Day, Boxing Day or New Years Day).
WEATHER:
Clear, calm conditions are needed so this is a "weather dependant" activity. We may need to cancel in strong wind and adverse conditions.
WHAT TO BRING/WEAR:
We advise you wear comfortable clothing.
Wear enclosed toe soft sole shoes. e.g. runners (No thongs, sandals or steel capped boots).
Eat light meals at usual mealtimes before the flight and don't forget
your sunglasses and your camera.
