1 Day Great White Shark Cage Diving

You will enjoy the 2.5 hour journey to the Neptune Islands, often accompanied by pods of dolphins & even the odd whale in season aboard our 57 ’ very comfortable 'MV Calypso Star'.

Once the bait hits the water, then the action begins!! We often have had Great Whites around the boat before hanging back on the anchor. Fingers crossed “ Big Mumma” may arrive; an 18’ plus monster great white shark.

Once the great white sharks arrive, each person will have the opportunity to experience approx 45-minute of cage viewing face to face with the amazing Great White Shark through crystal clear water in groups of only 4 at a time in the cage.

The action from the fly bridge and deck is fantastic. Magnificent hot lunch and cappuccino-icy cold soft drinks included and the bar opens on the way home. BYO is also welcome!

While every effort is made to attract the sharks to our boat, in nature there can be no guarantees! In the rare event of not seeing Great White Sharks a half price return ticket is offered to all on board – valid for 6 months.

SPECTATORS are welcome! If you are interested in coming along for the trip but don't want to participate in a shark dive then you are welcome to join the trip. If you change your mind you can upgrade onboard. Price is $395.00 per person. See our “Options” below for booking.

Nothing will prepare you for the unique experience of coming face to face with a Great White Shark from the comfort of the vessel, MV Calypso Star and safety of the Shark Cage!

To ensure the comfort of your trip you will need to bring:

• Personal Toiletries: Including own towel.
• Your Camera: if you have one. Don’t forget the charger cords, spare film or a spare memory card. (A Highlights Pack is also available for purchase, We can arrange this onboard the boat)
• Comfortable clothing: Remember to pack some warm clothes as it can get chilly on the water (even in summer) A warm jacket is a must in winter; Rain Coats are available for use onboard. Our Vessel has reverse cycle air-conditioning for your comfort.
• Sunglasses: polarized sunglasses make it easier to see into the water and spot the sharks.
• Soft-soled shoes: Please leave your heavy work boots at home.
• Wetsuit: if you have one. A 5mm suit is sufficient for summer use (November to May). A 7mm (or dry suit if you have one) is ideal for winter departures (June to October). A wetsuit hire service is also available.

Wetsuit package: $20 per day – Includes a 5/7mm wetsuit , boots, hood, gloves and a mask. Sizes XX Small to 3 XL available. Larger sizes on request when booking. We have a selection of masks to ensure a good fit however we cannot provide any prescription masks if needed. Discuss this directly with the operator after booking.

What time do we meet: We meet at 6:30am, ready for departure at 7am. Arrival time is approx. 7pm but we have been known to arrive as late as 9pm on several occasions. We cannot guarantee arrival back to Port Lincoln to catch flights the evening of your charter. Meeting point information will be provided after you have booked.

Insurance: No Liability will be accepted for injury sickness, loss or damage however caused. Break Loose & Calypso Star Charters highly recommends that travellers take out travellers insurance as we will not be responsible for any delays that may cause loss of travel arrangements.

Meals, tea & coffee and soft drinks are provided. Early morning snacks for breakfast, morning tea, cooked lunch and afternoon snacks are prepared on board. Please advise us of any allergies when booking.
